Davening according to most poskim is erabbanan
DAvening according to a set time is universally derabbana
Yet a passuk is used to porhibit eating before davening - lo sa'amod al dam
iirc

A friend once e-mailed me that  any brach gets past theis d'oraissa
requirement. how can  this be?
