This thought it more along the lines of "[The One Who Brings the Go’el (continued)](https://aspaqlaria.aishdas.org?mailpoet_router&endpoint=track&action=click&data=WyIxIiwiMzc0ODkzIiwiNjIiLCIzMTQ4MGE4MGMzY2EiLGZhbHNlXQ)" - "which I know is not the authors’ original intent, but it speaks to me anyway…"

The current war has impacted life in Israel in a number of ways that seem parallel to the middle of Birkhas Gevurah. It seems impossible to make the Berakhah without bringing them to mind and getting choked up:

מְכַלְכֵּל חַיִּים בְּחֶֽסֶד - He disburses life with Lovingkindness
Recalling everyone killed in the attack, the soldiers -- some of them still adolescents themselves, recalling young Kefir Bibas, and of course remembering my late daughter decades after her passing, these words pose a challenge.

מְחַיֵּה מֵתִים בְּרַחֲמִים רַבִּים - Revives the dead with great Compassion
I think of the halakhah that if you are reunited with someone close to you after a long parting, you say a berakhah of Mechayyieh haMeisim / Who revives the dead. Reuniting is a kind of "revival of the dead". And I think of the happy scenes of former captives embraved by family, soldiers suprising someone with a visit or the end out that round of duty. And all the people we pray to see reunited.

סוֹמֵךְ נוֹפְ֒לִים - Who supports the fallen
Such as the one third of all Israelis experiencing PTSD symptom according to a recent study.

וְרוֹפֵא חוֹלִים - And who heals the sick
Including all those injured

וּמַתִּיר אֲסוּרִים - Who releases those imprisoned
- in tunnels and elsewhere

וּמְקַיֵּם אֱמוּנָתוֹ לִישֵׁנֵי עָפָר - And keeps His Trust to those who sleep in the dust
The all too many who died for His Cause need Divine Aid for their efforts to reach success.

And I think of the difficulties finding an end to this war. It will take Divine Guidance to find a way that both "releases the imprisoned" and yet doesn't throw away critical gains for our safety secured by "those who sleep in the dust."
