... for a choleh named
Eliezer Mordichai b. Chaya Sheina Rochel
A tumor was found on his carotid artery, which in turn supplies the
head with blood.
R' Leizer Goldstock is founder and head of Heart-to-Heart. You may
have heard me brag about Siggy's efforts founding homes for Downs and
other special needs children placed for adoption. Reb Leizer is the
man who runs that show.
There aren't that many people in the US engaged in the kind of
tzedaqah work he does. Less than a handful on the whole continent.
Here's the opening of one article:
> Many new parents are surprised when Dr. Eliezer Goldstock arrives at
> their door, toting a bouquet of flowers and saying "mazal tov."
> The confusion comes not only because nobody in the house knows Dr.
> Goldstock, but also because the parents he visits have just given
> birth to a disabled child, and few have celebrating on their minds.
...
> "Three thousand Jewish babies with special needs are given away each
> year to non-Jewish parents," he said. "I'm not going to judge anyone.
> But let me come to you and at least try to help you out."
R' Goldstock was also the person who invited Aishey and I along on his
trip to Northern Israel at the end of the 2nd Lebanon War. (Blogged at
<http://neshamahgeological.blogspot.com/>..)
Your tefillos are really needed, not just for a friend or his family,
but for a critical communal resource.
Tizku lemitzvos, and may none of us need such favors,
-micha
