[Mesorah] Articulation Question

In my copy of R' Breuer's Tanach (Mossad HaRav Kook), in Shemot 2:3, 
there is no meteg under the yud in "yachla" (more fully, "v'lo-yachla 
od") but there is one in Ber. 36:7.  In Shemot, v'lo and yachla are 
connected by a makef; they are separate in Bereishit.  Koren and the 
Keter Yerushalayim both show a meteg under the yud in Shemot.

Any thoughts on the difference would be appreciated.  Thanks.
