I'm doing some research on this.

In sefer k'hilchos hapesach he brings 2 main reasons for the gzeira
against qitniyyos

1. They grow near real grain - viz. 5 minei dagan
2. Their flour resmbles kemach from dagan

I vaguely recall someone adding "dayssa" as a concern. Is there a mekor
for this
